The ‘Tuesday’s Child’ series shown in the solo show of the same name at Handmark Gallery in 2003 all sold during the show. Simone was commissioned to recreate the series of seven christening robes for the newly opening Mountain View Child Care Facility, in Kingston, south of Hobart, through Tasmania’s Art for Public Buildings Scheme.

As the original series were created as one-off art works the challenge was to make the seven again with enough difference to the originals to maintain their one-off status, yet with the same general look and feel.
